The Heart Behind Paws Etiquette Dog Training

At Paws Etiquette Dog Training, I believe that every dog and owner deserves to be understood, supported, and celebrated — not judged.Based in Gosfield near Braintree, I help dogs and their humans build trust, confidence, and calmness through positive, practical, and personal training methods.

Every Dog Deserves to Be Understood

No two dogs are the same. Each has their own quirks, challenges, and personality — and that’s what makes them special.
My approach is about finding what works for your dog and helping you learn to communicate in a way they understand. Together, we build a relationship based on kindness, trust, and understanding.

Training should never be about control — it’s about connection.

My Journey Into Dog Training

I’ve been lucky enough to share my life with dogs from the very beginning — from lively Parson Terriers to loyal Dobermans and gentle Labradors. But my real journey into dog training started with my first Russian Black Terrier.

When I tried to enrol her in local puppy classes, I was told she wasn’t suitable because of her size. Some trainers even seemed uneasy around her (at 75kg, who could blame them!).
It was disappointing — but it became a turning point.

I realised that if I wanted her to grow into a confident, happy dog, I needed to train her myself. That challenge sparked something in me — a deep passion for understanding dogs and helping them thrive, no matter their breed, size, or background.

From that moment, I knew I wanted to help others experience the joy that comes from training built on mutual trust, patience, and positivity.

Professional Credentials & Continuous Learning

Since 2017, I’ve devoted my career to learning from the very best.
I’m an accredited IMDT (Institute of Modern Dog Trainers) member, a Pro Trainer with Absolute Dogs, and a graduate of Canine Principles.
I also hold Certification with The Dog Trainers School, reflecting my commitment to professional standards and continued education in modern, reward-based dog training.

My qualifications include:

  • Certification – The Dog Trainers School

  • Diploma in Canine Coaching

  • OCN Level 3 Principles of Dog Training & Behaviour

  • Advanced Certificate in Reactive Behaviour

  • Diploma in Canine Behaviour & Enrichment through Scentwork

  • Search & Rescue Dog Handler Certification

I proudly display the UK Dog Behaviour & Training Charter as a qualified, assessed member of IMDT.
Learning never stops — I continue to study, refine, and develop new ways to help dogs and their owners live happier, calmer lives together.
